How does it work?

Our pool pump repair quote fee is $44 which will cover our time to inspect and provide an honest repair quote on your pool pump.  If you go ahead with the repair we take this fee off the total when you arrive to pick your repair up. In the instance where we recommend a replacement pump this fee will also be removed from the price of the new pump.

We have been repairing pool pumps on the Gold Coast for over a decade and in that time we have found that in most cases a pool pump can be repaired for a reasonable price twice before it will need to be replaced.

Availability of parts - Sometimes getting supply of new parts for pool pumps in the middle of the swimming season can delay the turnaround time of a pool pump repair.  We not only stock a large range of common pool pump parts required for repairs but we also have a large range of secondhand / reconditioned parts to increase turnaround times and make the repair option cheaper. Repair or replace? Most pool pumps are able to be repaired at least twice before they require replacement.  Unfortunately it is becoming more common that pool shops and other pool service businesses are opting to only supplying their customer with a replacement option.  In most cases if a repair quote is given it is usually inflated so that the replacement option seems more reasonable. Sometimes depending on corrosion and cost of replacement the replacement option is actually the better way to go. 

How do you know?  Well the first thing is you need to trust your pool service / supply company is reputable and is actually sending the equipment away to be quoted by a repair specialist or that they have the appropriate qualifications to be supplying you honest information for your decision making process. If your not sure that you are getting fair, honest, experienced information it may be best to seek a second opinion.
